Vows 2 Vintage LLC
This Policy explains how shipping works on Vows2Vintage, what Sellers must do, what Buyers should do, and what happens when a package is lost, damaged, or delayed.
1. Who Ships
Sellers ship. Vows2Vintage does not hold, pack, or ship any item. When an order is confirmed, we buy a prepaid shipping label automatically, usually within minutes, through our shipping partner, and make it available to the Seller. The Seller packs the item and drops the package off with the carrier.
2. Seller Obligations
- Drop off within 3 business days of the sale, unless the Listing states a longer handling time.
- Use only the label we provide, so that tracking, delivery confirmation, and claims all work. A package sent any other way is not covered by our tracking or by carrier claims we would otherwise pursue, and the Seller bears the full risk of loss.
- Tracking comes from the carrier. Sellers cannot enter or change a tracking number. The carrier's first scan of the package is our record that it was shipped.
- Package properly. Garments in a garment bag or tissue inside a rigid mailer or box. Glass, ceramics, and candles wrapped individually with at least two inches of cushioning on every side. Signage and framed items corner-protected and boxed flat. Florals and delicate décor boxed, not bagged.
- Do not ship an empty package, a substitute item, or an item that does not match the Listing.
- Keep proof. Keep the carrier's drop-off receipt and photographs of the packed item until the inspection period ends.
Repeated late drop-off, or damage caused by inadequate packaging, may result in restrictions under the Seller Agreement.
3. Shipping Costs
Each Listing either offers free shipping or has the Buyer pay shipping. On Listings where the Buyer pays shipping, the postage quoted at checkout is the actual carrier cost. On free-shipping Listings, the Seller bears the postage, and we deduct it from the Seller's payout. We do not add a handling fee, a processing fee, or any other mandatory charge to shipping.
Faster shipping, if we offer it, is priced separately and you can decline it.
4. Delivery Times
Delivery time is handling time plus carrier transit time. Carrier transit times are estimates set by the carrier, not by us. Weather, holidays, and carrier volume can cause delays.
If you need an item by a specific date, message the Seller before you buy. We cannot guarantee any delivery date.
If the carrier has not scanned an order within 30 days of purchase, and we have not given you a revised shipping date that you accepted, you may cancel for a full refund.
5. Buyer Obligations
- Enter your shipping address correctly and completely, including apartment or suite number.
- Check the address before you pay. We cannot change it once your order is confirmed and the label is bought.
- Track your package and arrange to receive it.
- Inspect the package on arrival and photograph any external damage before opening it.
- Open a claim within the 3-day inspection period if anything is wrong.
6. Risk of Loss
Risk of loss passes to the Buyer when the carrier records delivery. Until then, a package lost or damaged in transit is a qualifying issue under the Refund, Return and Buyer Protection Policy.
7. Lost, Delayed, and Damaged Packages
7.1 Tracking shows delivered but you did not receive it
Check with everyone in your household, your neighbors, your building manager, and any package room. Look for a carrier photograph on the tracking page. If you still cannot find it, open a claim within the inspection period. We will review the tracking record, the delivery scan, and any carrier evidence.
7.2 Tracking has not updated
If tracking has not updated for 7 days, open a claim. We will open a carrier trace. If the carrier declares the package lost, you receive a full refund.
7.3 Damaged in transit
Photograph the outer packaging, the inner packaging, and the damage before you remove anything further. Open a claim within the inspection period and send us the photographs. Keep all packaging until the claim closes, because the carrier may require inspection.
7.4 Returned to sender
If a package is returned because the address was wrong or incomplete, or because delivery was refused or unclaimed, the Buyer pays the cost of reshipping. If the Buyer does not want it reshipped, the Buyer receives a refund of the item price less the original and return shipping cost.
8. Shipping Coverage
Every label we buy includes the carrier's standard coverage. For every Listing priced over $100, we also buy additional shipping coverage for the item's sale price with the label.
We deduct the actual cost of that coverage from the Seller's proceeds, with no markup. If the item is lost or damaged in transit, we make the claim under the coverage. If the coverage does not pay for a loss, or pays less than the loss, the Seller bears the shortfall, unless the claim was refused because of our own error. Shipping coverage never reduces a Buyer's refund.
9. Address Changes and Cancellations
An order can be cancelled until the carrier first scans the package. After that first scan, it cannot be cancelled, and any problem must go through the claim process instead.
10. Where We Ship
We currently ship within the United States only, including Alaska, Hawaii, and United States territories. We do not ship internationally. Sellers must not arrange international shipping outside the platform.
Some items, including candles, aerosols, batteries, and other regulated goods, cannot be shipped by air or to certain destinations. Sellers are responsible for complying with carrier restrictions.
11. Return Shipping
Where a claim is approved for a qualifying issue, we provide a prepaid return label and the Seller bears the cost. Returns must be shipped within 3 days of approval with tracking.
