Vows 2 Vintage LLC
Selling stolen goods on Vows2Vintage is prohibited. This Policy explains that prohibition, the consequences of violating it, how anyone can report suspected stolen goods to us, and how law enforcement can reach us.
1. The Prohibition
You may not list, offer, or sell any item that is stolen or that was obtained by theft, fraud, conversion, embezzlement, or any other unlawful means.
Every Seller represents, each time a Listing is created or edited and each time a sale completes, that the Seller owns the item outright or has the legal right and authority to sell it, and that the item is not stolen.
2. Consequences
Where we determine that a Seller has knowingly listed or sold stolen goods, we will:
- remove the Listing immediately;
- terminate the Seller's account permanently;
- hold and refuse to release any funds associated with the transaction;
- refund the Buyer;
- preserve the account records, Listing content, photographs, messages, and transaction data; and
- report the matter to law enforcement.
Where we have a reasonable basis to suspect that an item is stolen but have not yet reached a determination, we will remove or hide the Listing, suspend the Seller's selling privileges, and hold the related funds while we investigate. We will give the Seller a written statement of reasons and an opportunity to appeal, as described in Section 16 of the Seller Agreement, except where doing so would hinder an investigation or endanger any person.
A Seller who is terminated under this Policy may not create a new account. Attempting to do so is a separate violation.
3. How Anyone Can Report Suspected Stolen Goods
You do not need a Vows2Vintage account to make a report. Anyone may use these channels.

4. Information for Law Enforcement
We maintain a dedicated channel for local, regional, state, and federal law enforcement agencies to communicate with us in a timely and confidential manner.
| Purpose | Contact |
|---|---|
| Law enforcement email | legal@vows2vintage.com |
| Legal process, including warrants, subpoenas, preservation requests, and court orders | legal@vows2vintage.com, or by mail to Vows 2 Vintage LLC, 25422 Trabuco Road, STE 105-356, Lake Forest, CA 92630 |
| Point of contact | Kathy Gorman, Chief Executive Officer |
| Emergency disclosure requests | legal@vows2vintage.com, with "Emergency" in the subject line. You may also call (949) 627-8692. |
We reply to law enforcement requests promptly. We will preserve records on request while legal process is obtained. We treat law enforcement communications confidentially and, where the law permits and an investigation would not be compromised, we may notify the affected user.
5. When We Contact Law Enforcement
We will alert local, regional, or state law enforcement agencies in California if we know or should know that a third-party seller is selling or attempting to sell stolen goods to a California resident. We will not duplicate a report where a law enforcement agency has already notified us that it suspects the same seller of selling the same stolen goods on our platform to a California resident.
We may also contact law enforcement in any other case where we believe a crime has occurred or is being planned, or where a person may be at risk.
6. How We Monitor
We maintain internal written policies, systems, and staffing to monitor Listings in order to prevent and detect organized retail crime and the sale of stolen goods. These include:
- seller identity verification through our payment processor before any payout is released;
- collection and verification of additional identifying information from higher-volume sellers, as the law requires;
- a member of our team reviewing each new Listing before it is published, looking for indicators associated with stolen merchandise, including large quantities of identical new-with-tags retail goods, retail security tags, missing or defaced serial numbers, pricing far below market, and rapid high-volume listing by a new account;
- review of every report received through the channels in Section 3;
- payout holds where we suspect a problem;
- record preservation to support law enforcement investigations; and
- staff assigned to review escalations.
We review these policies and systems at least annually and update them as risks change.
7. If You Believe You Bought a Stolen Item
Contact us immediately at help@vows2vintage.com. Do not alter, clean, or resell the item. We will investigate, refund you where our policies apply, and cooperate with law enforcement and with the rightful owner.
8. Where to Find This Policy
This Policy and the reporting mechanism in Section 3 are publicly posted at vows2vintage.com/stolen-goods and are linked from the footer of every page, from every Listing page, and from our Community Guidelines and Prohibited Items Policy.
