• Profile and Listing Content: Sellers may upload descriptions, photos, and other details when creating listings. This content is public and should not contain personal information such as home addresses or phone numbers.
• Communications: When you contact us at hello@vows2vintage.com or through support forms, we collect your contact details and the content of your inquiry.
• Transaction and Shipping Information: Once transactions are enabled, we may collect billing and shipping information to process payments and fulfill orders.

B. Information Collected Automatically

When you visit our website, we automatically collect limited technical data, including:

• IP address
• Browser type and version
• Device information
• Pages viewed and access times

We use Vercel Analytics, a privacy-friendly analytics tool that does not use cookies or track individual users. It collects only anonymous, aggregate information such as total visits, referrer data, and performance metrics.

C. Information from Third-Party Services

We use trusted third-party providers to operate core parts of our platform:

• Supabase for user authentication and data storage. Supabase provides encrypted data storage and is SOC 2 Type II certified.
• Stripe for payment processing (once transactions are live). Stripe processes all financial data securely in compliance with PCI-DSS standards. We do not store full payment details.
• Shippo for shipping label creation and order tracking (once shipping is live). Shippo receives buyer name, address, and order details for delivery purposes only.

These providers act as data processors on our behalf and do not use your information for their own purposes.

We use collected information to:

• Provide and maintain the Vows2Vintage marketplace and its features.
• Authenticate accounts and secure access to your profile.
• Enable listing creation, editing, and management.
• Communicate with you about your account, updates, or policy changes.
• Respond to support inquiries and troubleshoot technical issues.
• Analyze usage patterns to improve performance and reliability.
• Comply with legal requirements and prevent misuse or fraud.

We do not sell or rent your personal data to third parties.

4. How We Share Information

We only share information in the following situations:

• With Service Providers: To trusted partners such as Supabase, Stripe, Shippo, and Vercel, strictly to perform the functions described above.
• With Other Users: When listings are public, information in your listing (description, photos, username) is visible to visitors. Once purchases are enabled, buyer shipping information will be shared only with the seller and shipping carrier for fulfillment.
• For Legal or Safety Reasons: We may disclose information to authorities if required by law or to prevent fraud, abuse, or harm.
• During Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred under confidentiality safeguards.

5. Data Retention

We retain information only for as long as necessary to provide our Services and meet legal or business requirements. When you close your account, we delete or anonymize your personal data except for information needed to comply with recordkeeping, tax, or legal obligations.

• Access or update your profile by logging into your account.

• Opt out of non-essential communications by following the unsubscribe instructions in our emails.

California residents may have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to access, delete, and opt out of data sharing. We do not sell personal information as defined under the CCPA.

7. Security

We use encryption, HTTPS, and secure infrastructure to protect your data. Supabase encrypts data at rest and in transit. Access to user data is limited to authorized personnel. While we follow industry best practices, no online service can guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.

8. Children's Privacy

Vows2Vintage is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us so we can delete it.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in our Services or legal requirements. Updated versions will be posted at vows2vintage.com/privacy with a new effective date. Continued use of the Services after updates constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
